The Finale School

The Finale School is a project that is still in Beta mode that I have been working on for about a year now. The Finale School (http://www.thefinaleschool.com) is a website that is dedicated to teaching students and professionals about music notation on computers, specifically, Finale.

As of right now it is free to use. I am open to all suggestions. Please feel free to email me at mvoogt@gmail.com

Additional information about The Finale School

The Mission
The overall mission of The Finale School is to assist people that are new to the program and to help others that have gotten their feet wet, but want to learn how to do more advanced editing with the application. It is my opinion that Finale is the best program out there for music preparation however the learning curve is steep. When Finale ships, they give you a fantastic manual, however it is quite daunting to read as it is so huge and the video tutorials that ship with it only cover basic rudimentary things in the application. The Finale School offers free tutorials for visitors ranging from easy (1) to difficult (5). We offer services for anyone no matter where their skill is in notation.

The Forum
Although there are a few "Finale" related forums out there already. This forum is directly related to the tutorial website. The Forum is moderated closely by us and we give responses to all posts that seek them. Also, we have a board where people can request tutorials that they would like to see on the site.
